In his presentation titled “The Next Key Step in Green Energy Is Investment in Battery Storage,” Minister Nagy emphasized that in the future, global competitiveness will depend not only on tax systems but also on who has access to available and affordable energy. This is becoming a fundamental issue, especially as demand for electricity is expected to continue rising. In recent years, Hungary’s solar power generation capacity has grown dynamically, reaching 8,200 megawatts—more than four times the capacity of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant, as Nagy noted—adding that Hungary has the highest share of solar energy within its total electricity generation worldwide.
Together with Dr. László Monostori, Director General of HUN-REN SZTAKI and President of the National Technology Platform for Industry 4.0 (NTPSz), which organizes the SmartMan program series, as well as István Ács, Co-Chair of the organization, Márton Nagy presented certificates to representatives of companies, universities, and research institutes. Between September 15 and 26, 2025, these organizations hosted factory visits, technology demonstrations, workshops, and interactive professional programs for the interested public at more than 50 locations.
The December 4 event concluded with industrial robotics demonstrations and informal networking discussions held at the Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence of HUN-REN SZTAKI.
