The first Hungarian NOG (Network Operation Group) conference, HUNOG, was held between 10-12 October 2023. The event was professionally sponsored by HunCERT, hosted by the HBIT (Head of the Department of Network Security and Internet Technologies) of HUN-REN SZTAKI. HunCERT was represented at the event by Pál Ormos and Ernő Rigó, Head of HunCERT, Head of the HBIT, COPROLOGS project member. The event also marked the 20th anniversary of the launch of HunCERT.

On the first day, Pál Ormos gave a presentation on the most important milestones of the past 20 years of HunCERT, the history of its foundation, its present and some thoughts on the plans for the near future. At the event, in connection with the anniversary, HunCERT's official website https://www.cert.hu was also renewed and a new motto was born: "Together for the cybersecurity of Hungary".

Ernő Rigó concluded the second day with a summary of the DNS4EU project, which was launched in 2023.  Representatives of Whalebone, the project consortium leader, were also present at the event, looking for further cooperation opportunities.
