Several researchers from HUN-REN SZTAKI gave presentations at the AI Summit 2025 conference, held in Budapest between September 8 and 10, 2025. In addition to the talks, the researchers also presented multiple demonstrations to conference attendees.
Csaba Benedek, Deputy Director for Research Coordination at HUN-REN SZTAKI, delivered a presentation titled “Who Excels at What? – AI Research in Hungary in 2025”, in which he introduced the work of the National Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (MILAB). MILAB brings together the joint efforts of five universities and four research institutes, with the aim of simultaneously supporting fundamental research, industrial applications, and the integration of Hungarian researchers into international projects.
Bence Tipary, research fellow at the HUN-REN SZTAKI Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence, gave a presentation entitled “The Role of AI in Autonomous Industrial Robotics.”
András Majdik, senior research fellow at the HUN-REN SZTAKI Machine Perception Research Laboratory, participated in a panel discussion titled “New Weapons and Digital Shields – Where Is Europe’s Defence Industry Headed?” Ernő Rigó, Head of the Network Security and Internet Technologies Department at HUN-REN SZTAKI and researcher in the COPROLOGS project, shared his views in the panel discussion “In the Labyrinth of Patient Data: Who Protects Our Healthcare Data in the Age of AI?”
