He obtained his PhD degree from the École Polytechnique Féderel de Lausanne, Institute of Mathematics in 2001 and his PhD in 2018. He is a regular lecturer at the ELTE Institute of Mathematics. Three of his students have obtained PhD degrees and he is currently supervising three more. His research interests include operations research, including scheduling theory, integer programming, approximation, and online algorithms. His main scientific awards are the Academic Youth Prize (2004) and the Bolyai Plaque (2016). He has worked on several industrial projects with GE Lighting, Bosch Rextroth, Hitachi.
