The opening ceremony of the Smart Manufacturing Festival (SmartMan), launched with the support of the government and coordinated by the Industry 4.0 National Technology Platform Association (NTPSZ), was held at the Emerson Automation FCP Kft. factory on 23 February 2024. Gergely Fábián of Ministry of Economic Development, and László Monostori, President of the NTPSZ and Director of HUN-REN SZTAKI, which is also the COPROLOGS project operator, gave speeches at the event.
The SmartMan Festival 2024 will be held from 26 February to 8 March 2024 in 30 venues across the country, with more than 50 programmes. The opening ceremony was also filmed by Hungarian Television and Eger TV, and can be viewed below.
Gergely Fábián, State Secretary for Industrial Policy and Technology, stressed that in order to improve their competitiveness, all actors in industry must strive to keep pace with this process and to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalisation.
László Monostori, Director of HUN-REN SZTAKI, President of NTPSZ, stressed the importance of the digitalisation of factories, confirming that developments are essential for the creation of a sustainable and competitive economy.
István Gödri, Managing Director of Emerson Automation FCP Kft. also gave a speech. He said that Industry 4.0 and digitalisation are tools that not only large companies can afford.
