On 30 November 2022, the COPROLOGS project's final meeting was held at SZTAKI, coordinated by József Váncza, project leader.

Péter Gáspár, Head of the Systems and Control Research Laboratory of SZTAKI, researcher of Coprologs, and also the Technical Director of the National Laboratory of Autonomous Systems (ARNL), held his inaugural lecture as an elected Full Member of the HAS on 19 October 2022.

For the first time in two years, SZTAKI welcomed visitors in person during the international programme series of Researchers’ Night. At the event on 30 September 2022, visitors could find something to do as early as 2 pm, when the first programme opened: devil's cloaks and logic games in the community space of the Kende Street building.

Balázs Németh, researcher of Coprologs, received the Bolyai Medal along with thirteen other researchers. The plaque was presented in the Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences by Tamás Freund, President of the Academy.

József Váncza, Head of the Research Laboratory for Engineering & Management Intelligence at SZTAKI, lead researcher of Coprologs, was elected as a member of the CIRP Council at the 71st General Assembly of the organisation.

Joint exhibition of the Fraunhofer Society and SZTAKI opened in Stuttgart

In the Innovation and Demo Space (IDS), some of SZTAKI’s most recent research and development results were presented and demonstrated. SZTAKI is part of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH).

Dr. J. Váncza, the Head of the Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence at SZTAKI and a lead researcher of Coprologs, was awarded the International Dennis Gabor Award – named after the Hungarian-born Nobel laureate Dennis Gabor – at the end of last year, but received the prize only in May this year due to earlier restrictions and measures related to COVID-19.

The institute was represented at the event held at the University of Győr on 13 April 2022 with a drawing robot presented by the Research Laboratory on Engineering & Management Intelligence.
