The 2023 International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET) Symposium 2023 took place at HUN-REN SZTAKI from 31 August to 1 September 2023. The event featured presentations by international experts and a poster session was held in the Innovation and Demonstration Space of HUN-REN SZTAKI. The three-day programme was co-organised and hosted by HUN-REN SZTAKI.

SZTAKI's Engineering and Management Intelligence Research Laboratory (EMI) and Hitachi Research and Development Group have a decades-long collaboration – a recent landmark in this relationship saw EMI staff – including several COPROLOGS project members – visit two Hitachi facilities.

Project leader József Váncza presented the results of the past months, assessed the current state of the work and outlined the challenges of the coming months.

The PhD Workshop jointly organised by COPROLOGS project organizer SZTAKI (Institute for Computer Science and Control) and TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology) took place on 4-5 May in Budapest.

Every year, the Association of Hungarian Women in Science organises Girls' Day. The aim of the day is to introduce women to STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and to make these careers attractive to them. This year, SZTAKI, which runs the COPROLOGS project, joined the career guidance initiative with great success.

Katalin Novák, President of Hungary, awarded the Order of Merit to László Monostori, Director of SZTAKI.

The two-day event featured presentations from over 60 speakers from Hungary and from abroad. Dr. József Váncza, leader of the COPROLOGS project, was also a chair at the event.

Papers closely related to the project have also been published in the Journal of Scheduling and IEEE Control Systems Letters.

Upon László Monostori, director of SZTAKI, the Doctor honoris causa (Dr. h. c.) title of the Óbuda University, Budapest, Hungary was conferred on November 23, 2022.
